We slept in
until 11am! Gothic Quarter – Day Two! A new section of the Roman aqueducts, another
Roman wall (exterior instead of interior), the medieval jousting ground, the
monument commemorating when Catalunya lost its independence, and Santa Maria
del Mar. At Santa Maria del Mar, which is the old seafarer and merchants
church, we saw TWO weddings! The brides were both beautiful! Oh! And we saw the
street of the flies (Carreer de les Mosques) the narrowest street in Barcelona.
Sadly, it was gated and blocked off, but it was way narrow and super cool! We
loved it.

To finish off
the day we did a bit of shopping. Again, my love for clothes; I got a dress and
a beautiful shawl! Because it was fiercely hot,
we stopped at a place called Gelaaati! This IS the best ice cream we’ve
had! KD got Marscapone and Dark Chocoalte and I got Maracuya (passion fruit)
and Mojito (without alcohol, we triple checked). It was a great way to finish
the evening.
