Thursday July 11th

We decided to try a different route to get to the fountains at Montjuic.  Normally, we take the metro, but tonight we tried to use the train.  Note the word tried.  Apparently, the train we took doesn’t have too many stops in the city.  In fact, once we board at our stop there are only four, and Placa Espana was not one of them.  Instead we found ourselves on the western edge of the city waiting for a return train.  Luckily we asked for help.  We found the correct train line and the correct platform (quite the feat since there were 16 of them!), but the train did not have lights on.  After asking for help, we were told to keep going all the way to the end.  Apparently, some of the tracks had multiple trains parked on them.  Though we did not end up going to Montjuic, we did have Dunkin Donuts, and that is a great consolation prize any day and time!
